We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our customers for their continued patronage of Kunitaro & Avance products. The company was founded in 1958 by the proprietor owner, who has learned practical using from his customers and has been doing business step by step up to present. Although the studies of management, economics, accounting, etc. learned at school, but the most useful thing in business was the opinions of our customers.
Kunitaro has been dealing with tea since its established and then dealing with seaweed as well. Furthermore, since 1990, we started to handle a wide range of products such as coffee and healthy teas. This is also a customer's hint. We will continue to respect the opinions of our customers, aim for improvement of products, technology etc. and continue to pursue and take on challenges to meet the satisfaction and trust of our customers.

As for raw materials, we specify the producer or the place of origin, and use only safe raw materials that comply with the laws & regulations of the national, prefectural governments and the Japanese Agricultural Standards (Organic JAS). Barley tea acquired the Australian Organic Certification (BFA) even before the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries established Organic JAS, and was able to play a pioneering role in starting organic barley produts. Currently, we have a contract with a Canadian farmer, and we directly import JAS-certified organic barley from Canada and roast & make products locally.

We will take on the challenges of technological development to improve quality and reduce extra costs.

We have developed the "Tetra bag®", which has the string at the top of the pyramid tea bag with flat and neat bottom which helps to brew fast and delicious cup of tea, taste like brewed in tea pot. Furthermore, using package called "SIP [sleeve-in-pouch] with zipper lock, not using individual packaging and this helps save resources with eco-freindly. We have good demand for this products which is value-added and good quality.
Drip coffee bag called " 19 Yen for one cup" maintains high quality from the beginning of sales, and we do cost cut by consistence of roasting, milling and packaging in our own factory. In addition, we work on the development of even more genuine taste with the far-infrared effect of ceramic roasting, using temperature profile system and post-blending. Going forward, we will continue to develop more products and increase customer satisfaction with further considering of [health],[convenience] [ecofreindly] .
